After 13 years at BP as a deepwater reservoir development geoscientist, geomodeler, and sedimentologist, I left the corporate world and am building what comes next. In a challenging geoscience market, I remain focused on geoscience and workflow modernization consulting opportunities through RockNRG (OSDU + agentic AI) and open to the right next seat, while right now prioritizing building for others to meet the immediate needs of my family. I’m a husband and dad to a big family, and I’ve always built with my hands, from the barn behind Bahama Mama’s Shaved Ice to the libraries, closets, stairs, and projects you see here. Bahama Papa’s Home Solutions is how I bring that care to my neighbors in Katy: honest scope, transparent pricing, and work I’d put in my own home. Rocks or rafters, I read the ground first, build it right, and stand behind every board.

Home base: I build locally, within about 5 miles of Bahama Mama’s Shaved Ice.

Together with my wife Michelle, the original Bahama Mama, I run Bahama Mama’s Shaved Ice, our family’s shaved ice food truck. Evenings and Saturdays are when the shop runs. I recently finished this woodworking barn so I have a real place to cut, assemble, and finish work instead of keeping it all in a truck bed.

What I can help you build.

I design and build custom closets and pantries, built-in libraries, entertainment walls, French doors, shiplap, custom beds, pergolas and ceiling accents. I install laminate flooring and spiral stairs. I also convert attics — those are winter projects, with significant planning for HVAC, insulation, electrical, drywall, texture and flooring.

I live and work in Katy, TX, and I take projects within about 5 miles of Bahama Mama’s Shaved Ice, 24811 Westheimer Pkwy, Katy, TX 77494. I’ll walk the space with you on a weeknight, write the job as Materials + Ben’s Time, and schedule Saturdays to build, with dedicated weekday half-days as available, until it is done. I will itemize how much time project construction and finishing should take.
